Children living around illegal gold mines often have to sacrifice their education in favour of supporting the family. Mining becomes a family business and survival is put before education.
We understand the importance of education for children. Education is the only way to a better future. With your help, we can educate children who may not otherwise have the chance to learn – changing the course of their lives and the future of their communities.
Golden Child Aid provide the children with school equipment and books. We emphasize the importance of education and our long-term goal is to build a boarding school in a nearby town.
